Description:            

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated and driven individual.  Must have strong leadership, project management, time management, customer service, teamwork and mentoring skills.   Should be a creative initiator and meticulous executioner for driving continuous operational efficiencies. Strong communication skills, performance and proficiency management are key to this position.  This is not a set shift job. This position requires a variety of hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. This is a key element of this position's success due to the hours of operation.                                                   

 Requirements:                

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Four or more years in a General Management capacity preferentially in a gaming, restaurant, or hospitality or customer service environment.
  • Computer technology and proficiency including Excel and other Microsoft

Programs; Company-issued internet browser programs; Company-issued electronic mail programs

 

Preferences:     

  • 2 to 4 year degree
  • Prior experience in a bingo/charitable gaming facility

 

Primary Responsibilities

                                               

  • Increases management's effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, training, coaching, and counseling; communicating the company's core values, strategies, and objectives; assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results;
  • Builds company image by collaborating with customers, community organizations, and employees; enforcing core values throughout business practices;
  • Develops accurate and aggressive long and short-range goals that align with the Company's core values and vision;
  • Plans and reviews marketing activities, results, and expectations;
  • Executes all aspects of operational activity;
  • Has a clear understanding of the government regulations affecting HEDA operations and ensures HEDA is operated in compliance with all applicable laws, ordinances, regulations, and requirements of any federal, state or municipal authority;
  • Conduct inspections of both the inside and outside premises on a daily basis while keeping a record for review of each inspection;
  • Review daily reports and complete daily checklists of activities;
  • Hold weekly department head meetings wherein a review of the week's business, forecast and scheduling, upcoming events, and updates will be discussed;
  • Ensure that the facility has in place a Safety Committee that follows written guidelines as set forth by OSHA;
  • Devise and execute projects to address departmental shortfalls and garner project support across all employee levels and shifts. Provide solutions to accomplish more with less within set timeframes
  • Must be able to work any shift including regular nights, weekends and holidays
